Staff
At Rockmont we believe that young men grow in the image of those around them. Our purpose is achieved primarily through role modeling.
Staff is carefully chosen from colleges and universities throughout the country. The majority of our staff returns each year and many of these have grown up in the camp. Staff members are chosen first on the basis of spiritual and emotional maturity and ability to relate to the campers, and second on their individual skills and talents.
Many of our staff are professionals, and all counselors are at least eighteen years old and have completed a year in college. The staff arrives at camp up to ten days before the campers. During this time, extensive training, planning, and sharing takes place. When the campers arrive, the staff is ready in every way!
