Another week, another round of shows for the Rockmont Road Warriors. Last week we were in Apollo Beach, FL (host Nancy Mellon was a very gracious host and a great cook to boot!), the Paris family hosted in Orlando, and the Hutto’s opened up their home in Jacksonville for the 2nd straight year. As always, it is a blessing to see these families, spend time with them, and be able to share the Rockmont story with their friends.
Jacksonville trips are also special because we get to spend time with family, since Morgan and I both grew up in Jax. Saturday morning, we watched my sister Laura turn in a season best time in her conference cross-country meet for UNF.
Here’s a cool pic of her burnin’ up the course!
This week has been Rockmont veteran week, we had shows in Atlanta with Joe B. & Jodie Martin (Rockmont vet for 15 years), and in Columbia with Rob & Joy Bethea (vet for 8 years). Both shows were great and we had a lot of families to talk with, the boys were great and had a lot of questions. Joe B. had a lot of old camp stories to share, and Rob and Ridge had a great presentation of all their Rockmont gear from all those years.
So, we’re off to Myrtle Beach tonight to have a dual show with Hollymont at the home of Joan and Doug Dorman. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there, and even picked up Corrie on the way for a quick visit home! We’ll get you the update soon…
